Rachel Anderson

has been working with Peaceful School NC since its earliest days and has taught at Carolina Friends School since 2001. She has had multiple roles at CFS including teaching middle school classes, Conflict Resolution and Inquiry into Identity, and serving as Dean for Students in the upper school. Rachel wrote and teaches the comprehensive sex education curricula for both the middle and upper schools. Rachel is a founding member of the board of directors for the nonprofit MyHealthEd which provides sexuality education for adolescents through the app, Real Talk. Rachel is a certified trainer through Prevent Child Abuse Vermont and trains students, staff, and parents in the prevention of child sexual abuse.Rachel has presented conferences on the local, state, and national levels. Presently, she is working on a book for teachers, Life Talks: Lessons on Sexuality Through Conversations, Activities, and Storytelling.
