Anthony L. Clay

(he/him/his) earned baccalaureate degrees magna cum laude in International Relations and History at American University and a History M.A. with Phi Beta Kappa honors at Emory. This Arkansas native worked as a teacher, college counselor, and advisor at Holland Hall (Tulsa), Raleigh Charter, Durham Academy, and Carolina Friends before becoming CFS’ first Director of Advancement and then of Extended Learning. He now supports Peaceful Schools as the Director of the CFS Institute for Teaching and Learning. Anthony has served in leadership and advisory roles for Student U, Junior Leadership Durham, GLSEN, and other nonprofits and will co-lead a Summer 2023 civil rights tour of the South.
