The Reality in Today’s Schools

  • K-12 teachers

have the highest burnout rate of any profession in the U.S.

  • 4 in 5 educators

say student behavior is a worsening serious problem.

  • 7 hours a month

average classroom time lost to managing behavioral issues.

Educators are trained to teach—but not always to navigate conflict, trauma, and classroom culture.

Peaceful Schools NC equips educators with the tools and support they need to build safe, equitable classrooms.

“Since implementing restorative practices with the support of Peaceful Schools, we’ve seen a shift in how conversations happen in our classrooms. Fewer issues escalate to administration—it’s been a total gamechanger for our students and teachers.”
Rachel Wellborn, Atlanta Friends School

During the 2025–2026 school year, Peaceful Schools NC delivered hundreds of hours of training, reaching more school communities than ever before. Thanks to donor support, 67% of these trainings were offered to Title I public schools at a reduced rate.

But the need continues to grow.
Schools are asking for support—and we want to say yes.

Your gift helps us reach more educators, support more students, and expand this work to the schools that need it most.
